Being pregnant can be overwhelming! Let me take one thing off your plate by giving you a full list of what to pack in your baby’s hospital bag. I definitely overpacked with my first birth and have refined my list to be juuuust right… I think! I’ll be doing a second post that includes what to pack for yourself, but let’s focus on bebe for this list.
Here are links and details of exactly what is going in my baby girl’s bag as second time mom.
Swaddles – One velcro swaddle, I am packing the Ollie, and one more traditional swaddle with a matching bow. I grabbed this one on Amazon! I was shocked at the softness and quality!
Onesies – I packed 2 newborn onesies and 2 size 0-3 onesies. I prefer ones that zip for easy changing! We have always loved Burt’s Bees Baby onesies and they’re super affordable.
“Picture outfits” – I packed this matching set from Caden Lane! The ruffle booty kills me.
Name plaque/sign – I grabbed this simple name announcement sign from Caden Lane
Warmth items – Hats, mittens, socks.
Gowns – I love a knotted gown for ease of changing! I packed this style! It comes in several patterns and is SO soft!
Pacifiers – I love this set from Ryan and Rose. We also liked Mam pacifiers with my son.
Portable sound machine – Speaks for itself! A MUST for newborn and toddler stage. We have used this one for 2 years, so I ordered a backup just in case!
Paci sterilizer – This miiiight be overkill, but it gives me peace of mind! We love our paci sterilizer.
Burp cloths – Muslin ones are my fave!
Baby blanket – I love this customizable blanket from Caden Lane! It is so plush and my son still sleeps with his every night. I did the color “rose berry” for baby girl!
U Boppy pillow – This pillow is amazing even if you aren’t breastfeeding. You can easily prop your baby on it while you’re holding him/her to relieve some pressure from your arms and shoulders. I put a minky cover on mine and I love how soft it is.
Bottles – I didn’t mention bottles in my video because I plan to breastfeed, but bring a few bottles if you know that you want to bottle feed from the beginning! We prefer Avent bottles once we introduce them.
Carseat – Hopefully this is obvious…but clearly you can’t leave without a carseat! We are excited to use our Doona for the first time with this baby!
You can find links to Amazon products included in this list on my Amazon storefront.
The hospital will provide you with essentials like diapers and wipes, so don’t worry about packing those! All of my must-packs for mom and breastfeeding will be in part 2, coming soon! Did I miss something? Send me a DM on Instagram and I will add it to the list!
